We are surviving!

Life has been out of sorts since Aaron's brother died. We are slowly getting back into our regular routine after the funeral, out of town guests, and busy schedules. I wanted to thank everyone who offered support and love to us during this difiicult time in our lives.

There really hasn't been too many photo opts lately, but I do have a couple of cute pictures that I took of the baby. Next week she will be 6 months it's hard to believe how time flies. I have been reflecting on that subject a lot lately and I'm so grateful for time and the memories that are created because of it. Such a simple thing that we all take for granite and yet it is such a huge regret when it's no longer there.

Anyway... I'll get back to picture taking and capturing the elements of life that mean so much to me. My family!

Sorry I couldn't see when I uploaded this photo that it was blurry. Samantha is learning how to take photos and she actually took this one. I'm too lazy to change this photo. Sorry!

She loves playing the with her bows!

Halloween Fun!

I love this time of year the changing of the leaves, temperatures dropping, and cute little kids dressed up in Halloween costumes. It was so fun (and stressful) to get each girl ready in their chosen costume and make-up for the year as they transformed from being my beautiful girls into a very scary vampire (Samantha), the stunning princess Snow White (Alexis), and into a cute little ladybug (Avery). However, after the 4th time of getting them all done up I was ready to call it quits. Until next year Halloween!

Our annual pumpkin carving contest! I think I took first prize for my creative take on pumpkin carving or should I say placing stickers on mine because after carving 2 kids pumpkins I was all carved out!

Birthday's Galore!

We have done nothing it seems like for the last month except celebrate birthdays. Alexis had her 4th birthday on the 28th of October. This year she got to have her first birthday party and guess who came... none other than her very favorite princess Snow White! She had a great time and it was so much fun to see all her little princess friends (and a few knights) come and help her celebrate it!

Celebrating both girls birthday's again with the Zito's Lots of fun and lots of spoiled rotten little girls!

Birthday, field trip, and first snow!

What a busy few weeks we have had, I think I always comment on how busy I am. I keep saying to my husband I keep thinking my life is going to slow down but it doesn't seem to, he informed me that he thinks it is the stage of life we are in with kids being busy in so many things. We are finally done with our remodel just waiting on blinds before we move the girls down to their new rooms.

Samantha had her 7th birthday on the 30th of September. This year (I only do parties with friends every other year) she was able to take 3 friends to her place of choice. She chose Fat Cats for bowling, games, and fun! She has a cute bunch of friends. She also had her first field trip, so of course I couldn't let her go without me. We went to the zoo and had a great time.

And finally, I can't believe it but it snowed today! We got at least a foot of snow. My girls had a great time in the snow and for some reason we have never made a snowman with them before so Aaron took them out and helped them make one. I had to stay inside with the baby. Darn!

Samantha with her friends. What cute girls!

The girls and dad building their first snowman.

Making snow angels I think or maybe just playing in the snow.

Apparently my girls didn't want a snowman they wanted a snow woman so guess Aaron did the only thing he knew how to make this a snow women. Some days I don't claim I know him! lol

The Last of Summer!

I'm finally back online! We started out with such a small remodeling project and it has turned into a huge production. Anyway through all the dust and grim we have been able to relax and have a few more trips before we head into fall.

Avery's Baby Blessing

4 Generations! Notice Avery's blessing dress my mom made it. Shes made all of my babies blessing dresses.
My cute parents!
Elder and Sister Wilson it's good to have them home for a bit!
What a cute family I have (I'm not prejudice at all!)
Aaron and his girls!
We blessed Baby Avery this past Sunday. Aaron's parents had to come home for a few weeks from their mission so we took advantage of them being here and blessed the wee one.

Summer Fun!

Aaron & his brothers went to Alaska this summer.
This is a picture of Aaron and his King Salmon that he caught!
Aaron, Matt, Chris, and their Halibet
Swimming at Tim's pool!
Baby Avery is getting so big!
My favorite place in the world. Lake Powell. Carrying on the family tradition my 3 year old learned how to water ski this week. Her older sister already knows how.
I can't believe that school is going to start in less than a week. We have been having lots of fun this summer playing, vacationing, swimming. Oh, did I say we I mean Aaron and the girls have been having lots of fun, as for me I have been on baby duty since she was born but I have enjoyed my time spent with her. I'm just posting some random pictures of our summer outings.

Death Becomes Me?

I have a subscription to the newspaper for one reason only not for the sports, local, or national news but for the obituaries. Why? I ask myself am I so obsessed with them. Maybe it's because I'm looking for the perfect obituary. But is their really one perfect obituary? Each obituary are distinct in their own right but are so similar in so many ways. For once I would like to read about a person not liking something or someone. I feel that obituaries wraps up someones life in a few short paragraphs and that it should be something memorable.

Which brings me to thinking about what I want my own obituary to say. For instance, I love to waterski but on several conditions first,I have to be skiing early in the morning in Lake Powell second, the water has to be smooth as glass or it's not worth my time and lastly, Aaron, my dad, brother, and Uncle need to be in the boat in order for me to say that it doesn't get better than this.

I also enjoy 4 wheeling but only in the Uintah's on a non-holiday weekend (the dust is unbearable when there are tons of people) sitting at my favorite lakes (lily and lym) eating snacks with Aaron and my girls.

There is also nothing better than a ice cold Dr. Pepper, a Bon Jovi song while driving alone in car, the original Star Wars, a hug from my girls, a good piece of prime rib from the Timbermine. I could go on and on with this one but also think it would be fun to list things I didn't like like repetitive noises, I can't stand tapping, I hate Cherry 7-up and it always ends up at my parents house as a beverage of choice. I don't like to clean especially my stove top too much elbow grease for me.

Anyway, call me crazy that I am so obsessed with the obituaries I thought it would be fun to see if anyone else has had the same or similar thoughts so if so let me know.

Our first post!

Here it is the Wilson family's first blog post. I have been anti-blog for so long, and very verbal about it as well, (I don't think I'll be giving my brother our blog address because I was the most vocal to him so I'm sure he'll find a way to rub my face in it. Although, I do want to thank his lovely wife for helping me figure this whole thing out. I don't know who said that creating a blog was easy "whatever" I say to them! Apparently I am very blog and computer illiterate. Maybe that is why I have been so anti-blogging.

You are probably wondering what made me change my mind. I have my friend Heather to thank for that. Thanks, Heather like I need one more thing to do! (JK) Seriously, I'm hoping that this will be a good way for me to journal my families experiences so when I am old and have Alzheimer's I can read these postings over and over and never grow tired of reading them. So, hopefully I hope I can stay on top of things and this won't be my first and last post.

Tomorrow if all goes well and I get a few minutes to myself I will attempt to download some pictures. Until then!
